Jeremy Waldron is leaving Oxford to return full-time to New York University (via Leiter), opening up Oxford’s famed Chichele Professorship in Social and Political Theory. Mathias Frisch, currently professor of philosophy at the University of Maryland, is moving to the University of Hannover to take up a chair in the philosophy of science. He will start there in the Spring (the German “Sommersemester”). Frisch works largely in philosophy of physics and philosophical issues concerning climate change.

Adam Pautz, currently associate professor of philosophy at the University of Texas at Austin, has accepted an offer from Brown University and will be full professor there starting this fall. Professor Pautz works in philosophy of mind and metaphysics.
George Yancy, currently professor of philosophy at Duquesne University, has accepted an offer from Emory University and will be professor of philosophy there starting in Fall of 2015. Adrienne Martin, associate professor of philosophy at University of Pennsylvania, will be moving to Claremont-McKenna to take up the Murty and Shankar Professorship of Philosophy, Politics & Economics. Professor Martin is known for, among other things, her work on hope.
