The Rotman Institute of Philosophy at Western University recently announced the winner of its Philosophical Photography Contest. It’s Jenny Gillett, for her photo, “Identity,” above. The contest asked people to submit photos that “somehow managed to capture an abstract philosophical concept.” (more…)
A philosopher who wishes to remain anonymous thinks philosophy needs more of a social media presence, and so created a philosophy-related Instagram account. She writes:
“Nietzsche stayed in Sils-Maria during the summers of 1881 and 1883-1888. In Sils itself is Lake Sils, where the Chasté peninsula was a favorite site of Nietzsche’s – he fantasized about building a hermit’s hut.”
