Ebert from Stirling to Salzburg
Philip A. Ebert, currently professor of philosophy at the University of Stirling, has accepted an offer from the University of Salzburg, where he will be professor of theoretical philosophy.

Professor Ebert works on various topics in epistemology (especially risk and rationality), early analytic philosophy (especially Frege), philosophy of mathematics (especially abstractionism), and philosophical issues in behavioral science. In recent years he was one of the leaders of the “Varieties of Risk” project and produced a film that brought together philosophy and extreme skiing. He takes up his new position at Salzburg in February, 2026.
Congratulations Philip!!
Thank you Luca — hope we meet up soon again!
