Letter Protesting Midwestern State University’s Treatment of Nathan Jun (updated)

There’s currently an effort underway to gather signatures for a letter in support of philosopher Nathan Jun, who resigned from his tenured professorship at Midwestern State University following the university’s maltreatment of him in regard to freedom of speech and medical-related issues.

You can read about what happened to Dr. Jun here. His ordeal is also described in the letter, which is open to signatures from academics (current and former) from any institution of higher education. You can read and sign it here.

The letter calls upon Midwestern State University to “publicly acknowledge and apologize for its horrendous treatment of Dr. Jun” and urges academics to “refrain from any dealings with Midwestern State University, including making or accepting applications of employment” until it does so.

UPDATE: See this document for additional ways sympathetic individuals can provide assistance.
