Brian Barry Literary Archive

There is a new site dedicated to archiving the writings of and about the late, great, political philosopher Brian Barry. The Brian Barry Literary Archive, as it is called, is still in development, but already contains some of his unpublished work (books and articles), links to obituaries, and a brief biographical note. There are plans to include on the site a complete bibliography as well as select correspondence. The site was set up by Matt Matravers (York) and Albert Weale (UCL). For more information about Barry, the obituaries by Paul Kelly and Robert Goodin are good places to start. (via Richard Bellamy on PHILOS-L)

Just to clarify: the site is for Brian Barry’s unpublished work. We have no plans to add his published material. The site is a joint venture by Brian’s literary executors (Paul Kelly, Albert Weale, and me). Brian left a huge amount of written material and we will continue to digitise and upload it over the coming months. Once that is done, I hope to add some more by way of a biography, introductions to the pieces, and so on.
