Simion from Glasgow to Oxford
Mona Simion, currently professor of philosophy and director of the COGITO Epistemology Research Centre at the University of Glasgow, has accepted an offer from the University of Oxford, where she will be professor of philosophy as well as a tutorial fellow at Exeter College.

Professor Simion works in epistemology, philosophy of language, moral and political philosophy, and philosophy of gender and race. She is the author of Knowledge-First Epistemology: A Defence (2025), Resistance to Evidence (2024), Shifty Speech and Independent Thought (2021), and, with Christoph Kelp, Sharing Knowledge (2021). She is currently working on a new book entitled Knowledge and Conceptual Engineering: The Epistemology, Ethics, and Politics of Meaning Production.
