The American Academy of Arts & Sciences has announced its new members for 2025, and several philosophers are among them.

They are:
- Lucy Allais, Johns Hopkins University
- Harry Brighouse, University of Wisconsin-Madison
- Noël Carroll, CUNY Graduate Center
- Jenann Ismael, Johns Hopkins University
- Jennifer Lackey, Northwestern University
- Øystein Linnebo, University of Oslo (International Honorary Member)
- Liam B. Murphy, New York University School of Law
- Peter Singer, Princeton University
In an announcement, the Academy’s president, Laurie Patton, said: “These new members’ accomplishments speak volumes about the human capacity for discovery, creativity, leadership, and persistence. They are a stellar testament to the power of knowledge to broaden our horizons and deepen our understanding.”
