Hallie Liberto, currently assistant professor of philosophy at the University of Connecticut, will become associate professor of philosophy, with tenure, at the University of Maryland.

Professor Liberto works in normative ethics and social philosophy. Her recent research has been on promises and agreements, the nature of rights, and sexual ethics.

Her appointment begins Fall 2017.
