The University of Western Ontario Department of Philosophy has made two new hires.

Timothy Bayne, currently at the University of Manchester, has accepted a position as full professor in Western’s Department of Philosophy, as an Endowed Chair in the Philosophy of Neuroscience, starting in the summer of 2015. He works mainly in philosophy of mind and cognitive science.

Markus Mueller, currently at the Perimeter Institute and the University of Heidelberg, has accepted a joint position as assistant professor in the Department of Philosophy and the Department of Applied Math. Dr. Mueller works in philosophy of physics.
