Four Philosophers Win Guggenheim Fellowships
The John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation recently announced the winners of its United States and Canada fellowship competition, and included among the 178 awardees are four philosophers:
- Victor Caston (University of Michigan)
- Anjan Chakravartty (University of Notre Dame)

According to the Guggenheim Foundation, the fellowship is intended for people who “have already demonstrated exceptional capacity for productive scholarship or exceptional creative ability in the arts.” There were nearly 3000 applicants this past round. The fellowships provide funding for individuals to work on projects of their own choosing for six to twelve months.
