Jargonium
Jargonium is a group blog aimed at bridging the humanities and sciences with a focus on the philosophy of chemistry.

Jargonium features writing from a large group of contributors across a range of topics. For example, one of its recent posts, by Francesca Bellazzi (Bristol), explains why the research recently recognized by the Nobel Prize for Chemistry is so intriguing, and how it bears on philosophical topics such as “the dichotomy between life and non-life”.
The site also has an interview series called “Jargonium Asks“.
One of the site’s creators wrote to me about it, saying, “Our objective is to show that chemistry is a source of insight not only for those inherently curious about oxidation states, but for anyone with an interest in philosophy, history, art, sociology, or any other facet of humanistic inquiry.”
In an era in which the humanities are often compared unfavorably with the sciences, efforts to emphasize the connections between them should be supported. Check it out. (And feel free to note other such initiatives in the comments.)
