Gooding-Williams from Columbia to Yale


Robert J. Gooding-Williams, currently Professor of Philosophy and of African American and African Diaspora Studies at Columbia University, will be moving to Yale University, where he will be Professor of Philosophy.

Professor Gooding-Williams is known for his work in philosophy of race, social and political philosophy, the history of African-American thought, 19th Century European philosophy (especially Nietzsche), and aesthetics. You can learn more about his writings here and here.

Gooding-Williams earned his BA and PhD at Yale. He will be returning there as professor in July of 2024.
