Snow from Oklahoma to Kansas


Nancy E. Snow, currently professor of philosophy at the University of Oklahoma and director of its Institute for the Study of Human Flourishing, will be moving to the University of Kansas.

Professor Snow is well-known for her work in ethics and moral pyschology, and especially on the virtues. Among other things, she is the author of Virtue as Social Intelligence: An Empirically Grounded Theory, Contemporary Virtue Ethics, and co-author of Understanding Virtue: Theory and Measurement. She will be taking up her position as professor of philosophy at the University of Kansas this coming August.

I’ll (try to be) the first to post that I was surprised to see Justin including weather reports in Daily Nous.
Seriously, though, Oklahoma’s loss is Kansas’s gain.
