Jenkins from Nottingham to Glasgow


Katharine Jenkins, currently an assistant professor of philosophy at the University of Nottingham, has accepted an appointment as a lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Glasgow.

Professor Jenkins works in social and political philosophy, and in feminist philosophy, focusing especially on sex, gender, sexuality, and race. She is currently working on a book, The Ontology of Oppression.

Professor Jenkins also was recently named Director of the Society for Women in Philosophy UK.

Her new position at Glasgow (which comes with the equivalent of tenure) begins in July, 2020.
