Cariani from Northwestern to Maryland

Fabrizio Cariani, currently associate professor of philosophy at Northwestern University, will be moving to the Department of Philosophy at the University of Maryland.

Professor Cariani works in philosophy of language, philosophical logic, and epistemology, with particular interests in, as he puts it, “meaning, uncertainty, agency, modality, collective attitudes, the open future, explanation, chance, mathematics, decisions, rationality and more.”

His appointment at Maryland as tenured associate professor begins in Fall of 2020.
