Fordham Philosophy Professor Suspended Pending University Investigation (updated)

Fordham University associate professor of philosophy William Jaworski has been suspended until the end of the calendar year pending a university investigation, according to the university’s student newspaper, The Observer.

The suspension was announced to his students yesterday and confirmed in a message from the administration to The Observer. The reason for this investigation was not disclosed, though there is speculation in the article that it is a Title IX investigation. Another professor will be covering Jaworski’s classes for the remainder of the term.

There are further details at The Observer.

UPDATE: A follow-up article (April 18th, 2018) in The Observer provides more information about the investigation and related events.
