Samantha Brennan, currently professor of philosophy and women’s studies at Western University in Ontario, will become Dean of the College of Arts at the University of Guelph. 

Dr. Brennan’s five-year term as dean begins in January, 2018.  She will also have an affiliation with Guelph’s Department of Philosophy. Her research is in moral, social, and political philosophy, and feminist ethics. She is the president of the Canadian Philosophical Association and co-founder and a co-editor of Feminist Philosophy Quarterly.
