MacBride from Glasgow to Manchester

Frasier MacBride, currently Chair in Logic and Rhetoric at the University of Glasgow, will be moving to the University of Manchester. MacBride works in metaphysics, the philosophy of mathematics, the philosophy of language and the history of analytic philosophy.

Julian Dodd, head of the philosophy department at Manchester, writes that for the first three years of his appointment, MacBride will be working on “a project funded by the Arts & Humanities Research Council focusing on David Lewis’s unpublished work and (copious) correspondence.” That material was recently donated by Steffi Lewis to the Princeton University Library.
