Eduardo Mendieta, currently professor and chair of philosophy at Stony Brook, will take up a position as professor of philosophy at Penn State, starting during the summer of 2015. Professor Mendieta works on critical philosophy of race, Latin American philosophy, the Frankfurt School, and issues relating to religion, globalization, global justice, and animality.
