Christoph Jamme (1953-2021)


Christoph Jamme, professor of philosophy at Leuphana University of Lüneburg, has died.

Professor Jamme was known for his work on Hegel, German Idealism, Heidegger, philosophy of art, myth, and philosophy and poetry. You can learn more about his research here and here.

Professor Jamme took up his position at Leuphana in 1997. Prior to that, he taught at Friedrich Schiller University.

He died on May 2nd.

I’ve seen him speak, and read his work. A brilliant man, and a terrible loss to the intellectual community. May he rest in peace.
