McDaniel from Syracuse to Notre Dame


Kristopher McDaniel, currently professor of philosophy at Syracuse University, has accepted an offer from the University of Notre Dame.

McDaniel works in a broad range of areas. His primary line of research is in metaphysics, but he also works in ethics and the history of philosophy. His recent book, The Fragmentation of Being, was awarded the 2018 Sanders Book Prize by the American Philosophical Association.

He is also part of the philosophy rock band The 21st Century Monads.

McDaniel will take up his position as professor at Notre Dame in Fall 2019. You can learn more about his work here.
